THIN FILM NICKEL TITANIUM
All our films are sputtered in an Ultra-High Vacuum System that limits impurities and ensures high quality. We offer 4" diameter TiNi thin film free-standing or on various substrates including but not limited to bare Si, Si with a LPCVD SiO2 surface, Si with a LPCVD SiN surface, Si with a metallized surface, and Kapton. Discuss with us which substrate best suits your needs. We have sputtered on both flat and rough surfaces. We are also capable of sputtering elemental metals such as chromium and copper. POROUS NICKEL TITANIUM
Self-Propagating High-Temperature Synthesis (SHS) is a rapid, net shape process, so with the proper mold any shape can be fabricated. The porosity of the our SHS-derived foams range 55% to 65% with pores hundreds of microns in size. The density and pore sizes can be adjusted as per request. High purity powders and high vacuum conditions can be used for bio applications. Pieces of porous TiNi can be tiled to produce larger panels. NICKEL TITANIUM WIRE AND/OR FOIL HOT SHAPING
SCT has extensive experience hot shaping nickel titanium wires, foil, and tubes. We have also established effective techniques weld pieces of TiNi together. Call us to discuss the shape memory component you need fabricated at (805) 497-2549.
 
 
MECHANICAL AND CALORIMETRIC TESTING
