Shape Change Technologies (SCT) is a research and development company dedicated to the manufacture and application of shape memory alloys specializing in nickel titanium. TiNi has many unique characteristics such as shape memory, superelasticity, and biocompatibility that make it attractive for a range of uses including armors and heart valves. SCT has developed processes that produce TiNi in several forms including porous foam and thin film. SCT is the only commercial company in the US that has this capability.
